RÉSUMÉ

Born in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, I began my working life as an engineer with Rolls-Royce Ltd. before I enrolled at the Glasgow School of Art. Upon graduating I lectured for five years in Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art until I was offered the post of Head of Public Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design (University of the Arts, London), subsequently becoming Dean of the School of Design. I later resigned my post in order to pursue my preferred career as a professional artist and to date I have carried out over one hundred commissions throughout the UK, as well as having works in public and private collections in the UK, USA and New Zealand. I am currently working on a six month Sculpture Residency in Broomhill, Greenock.
